Baik pola tanam cabut atau potong tidak banyak perbedaan kalau dilihat dari hasilnya. Untuk pola tanam cabut maka petani tiap 25 hari harus menanam ulang sedang untuk potong setelah dipotong dilakukan pemupukan lagi dan setelah umur 25 hari bisa dipotong lagi.
Dari hasil pantauan webinfobisnis.com di daerah Sidoarjo dan Jombang, rata-rata petani sayur kangkung menggunakan kedua pola tanam tersebut. Khusus untuk Sidoarjo menggunakan pola tanam cabut. Sedang penghasilan rata-rata tiap petak Rp. 900.000, – Rp. 1000.000,- tiap 25 hari. Di beberapa daerah Jombang ada yang menggunakan sistem borongan tiap petak dihargai oleh tengkulak Rp. 800.000,- . Kalu perhektar kurang lebih bisa menghasilkan Rp. 6500.000,- per 25 hari.
Tentu ini merupakan peluang usaha yang cukup menjanjikan apalagi tidak membutuhkan perawatan yang sulit.
